SciWorks offers a variety of venues to make your special event a resounding success. From weddings and receptions to birthday parties and business retreats, SciWorks is an idyllic environment to bring your special occasion to life!

Picnic Area
Rate: $50/hr

  • Reserve the entire picnic area for any occasion.
  • 12 picnic tables available, seating for up to 75 ppl.
Lecture Hall
Rate: $100/hr

  • This room provides a comfortable conference style setting.
  • Includes: 35 upholstered chairs and/or 50 folding chairs and (6) 8′ wooden tables and (10) 6′ plastic tables.
  • Many room set-ups available: Theater Style (75); Hollow Square (30); U-Shaped (35); and Conference Style (30).
  • Also available (upon request): podium, laser projector, screen, and microphones (hand held & lapel).
The Auditorium
Rate: $150/hr

  • An intimate theater with exceptional acoustics.
  • Seating for up to 130.
  • Included in rental: stage, projection booth, and house sound system.

FoodWorks
Rate: $150/hr

  • This 2,500 sq. ft. room (with high ceilings) has floor-to-ceiling windows that look out onto a lovely patio.
  • Seating for up to 120 (15 rounds of 8).
  • Available (upon request): podium, laser projector, screen, and microphones (hand held & lapel).
Planetarium
Rate: $500/hr

  • With seating for 119, why not treat your guests to a planetarium show?
  • Choose from a variety of shows: Night sky tour or Pink Floyd laser show (just 2 of many examples)!
Rent the Entire Center
Rate: $2,500/hr (up to 6 hrs)

events

  • Looking for an unusual venue for a party, wedding reception, or corporate gathering?  Give your guests the fascinating “hands-on” experience at SciWorks!
  • Multiple locations for caterers to set up reception, bar, and hors d’oeuvres stations to encourage guests to stroll through SciWorks.
  • Excludes planetarium and park.
Custom Gallery

Combine areas to make a custom entertainment/meeting area.

  • Great Hall & PhysicsWorks: $150/hr
  • FoodWorks & Great Hall: $200/hr
  • Great Hall, PhysicsWorks, FoodWorks $350/hr
The per hour charge begins at the time setup begins (not at the time guests arrive.) All other after-hours rentals: A $200 staffing/cleanup fee will be charged.  We expect the caterer to clean up after food service, but do not expect them to clean floors and bathrooms.  Availability of galleries is dependent on current exhibition.  Some restrictions apply.  All fees are subject to change.

If your organization has 501c3 status, we offer a 20% discount for non-profits (unless the rental is a fundraising activity).
